Big bid from Premier League club mooted to tempt Rangers into sale of star player – report

Rangers may be tempted into the sale of Jack Butland if a big bid arrives from a Premier League club this summer, according to the Scotsman.

Rangers Premier League Jack Butland latest news

The news outlet reported on 1 July that the Ibrox outfit have very little desire to let go of the 31-year-old this summer.

The England international moved to Glasgow last summer and was among the standout performers in the 2023/24 season.

Rangers must not encourage offers under £15m for Jack Butland
Gers must stand firm on their stance on Butland for several as he is in the prime years for goalkeepers, typically between the ages of 28 and 34.

At 31, he is at the peak of his powers and has proven himself to be a top-quality goalkeeper.

His performances last season were among the best in the Scottish Premiership, highlighting his value to the team.

Gers’ stance indicates that they value the goalkeeper highly and are not in a rush to sell him.

This gives them the upper hand in any potential negotiations, allowing them to hold out for their desired fee and they must not even consider any offer below £15million for their number one.

Hopefully, no club even thinks of testing the waters to sign the 31-year-old this summer.
