James Forrest makes rare social media post

James Forrest has made a very rare social media appearance, featuring in Adam Idah’s Instagram.

It seems that the two internationalists caught up on holiday- igniting speculation in both directions about the future of the Irish striker.

On one hand it could be a marker for a return to Celtic or simply a catch up with a former team-mate before Idah’s career moves off in a new direction.

Despite being the most decorated Scottish player this century Forrest keeps a very low profile with no known social media accounts.

High profile team-mates have come and gone such as Kieran Tierney, Moussa Dembele and Virgil van Dijk for starters with Forrest resisting the opportunity to join the trend which almost seems compulsory for the emerging generation of players.

After his stunning end to the season at Celtic Forrest found himself back in the Scotland but went unused by Steve Clarke at the European Championships where Lewis Morgan made a surprise appearance off the bench.

Forrest turns 33 on July 7 which will be about the time he returns to Celtic for pre-season training.

Being written off is almost part of the pre-season ritual for Forrest, with or without social media it is very likely that he’ll again be making a significant contribution to Celtic’s season.
