Three West Brom transfers to be completed this weekend

The Baggies completed their first summer signing on Thursday as midfielder Ousmane Diakite joined on a free transfer. The Malian, who played 34 times last season and scored two goals for Austrian Bundesliga side TSV Hartberg, has signed a two-year contract with the club option for a further 12 months.

Baggies transfer awaiting announcement
West Brom are expected to follow up the acquisition of Diakite with the signing of IF Brommapojkarna star Tobjorn Heggem. The defender, who will sign on a permanent deal, has passed a medical following an agreement on a fee.

Predominantly a centre-half but regularly utilised at left-back, the Norwegian is set to offer Carlos Corberan terrific versatilty at the back. It’s a clever move as Heggem can directly replace the outgoing Erik Pieters. His height will also be useful if Cedric Kipre departs.
