Grady Diangana has sent a two-word message to Nathan Trott after West Ham confirmed the goalkeeper’s exit on Saturday.

In an update on their official website (22 June), the Irons confirmed that Trott, 25, has completed a permanent transfer to Danish giants FC Copenhagen for an undisclosed fee.

Copenhagen also announced the news on their official Instagram account, adding that the goalkeeper has signed a four-year deal in the Danish capital.

West Brom star Diangana was quick to react to the news regarding his former West Ham and England U21 teammate.

“Congrats broski,” the 26-year-old wrote underneath the Instagram post.

What should Julen Lopetegui’s transfer approach be?

Julen Lopetegui’s transfer strategy at West Ham should focus on creating a solid defensive backline and a creative midfield.

Strengthening the backline with experienced centre-backs and a reliable left-back would provide the stability that’s needed in a demanding Premier League season.

On top of that, if Lopetegui manages to get his hands on a box-to-box midfielder capable of controlling the tempo and linking defence with attack, the Hammers would enjoy more fluidity and attacking threat.

Lopetegui is an experienced manager and expects to play possession-based football, while also demanding tactical discipline from his players. And it is likely that those traits will guide his recruitment efforts.

Investing in young talents with potential for growth, similar to his past successes in developing young players, could also be a strategy to build for the future.
