Nottingham Forest Exclusive: Big Rocco Vata update today

Football Insider has received information from sources that Nottingham Forest is preparing a fresh bid for Celtic attacker Rocco Vata.

As they try to work out a deal to bring the 19-year-old to the City Ground, Forest has already had a bid for him turned down by the Glasgow giants.

As the competition to get the Republic of Ireland U-21 international heats up, Watford and Bologna are also interested to sign him.

Vata may now depart at the Scottish champions this summer after turning down a new contract offer from Brendan Rodgers’ team.

Rocco Vata to make bid for Nottingham Forest following Celtic contract update
Vata has been considered one of Celtic’s most gifted young players for a considerable amount of time due to his stellar B team exploits.

A number of Italian teams were vying for his signature in January, according to Football Insider, in an attempt to lure him away from Celtic Park.

The Glasgow-born forward made 16 appearances for the club’s B team last season and scored 13 goals, including his first goal as a senior in January’s 5-0 Scottish Cup victory over Buckie Thistle.

Vata, however, has declined a new contract and may depart the Glasgow giants in the upcoming weeks after seeing just four minutes of action off the bench in the Scottish Premiership last season.

While Serie A team Bologna and Championship team Watford are also vying for his signature, Forest is preparing a fresh offer.

When Southampton’s Che Adams’ contract expires later this month, Nuno Espirito Santo’s team is reportedly preparing to sign him on a free transfer.

Football Insider said on June 16 that the Premier League team may sabotage Wolves’ agreement to sign the 27-year-old after making a contract offer to him in recent weeks.
