Rangers have completed the signing of Hamza Igamane from FAR Rabat, according to beIN SPORTS.

Writing on their official X account (22 June), the reputable news outlet that a deal has been “officially” completed with the striker signing a five-year deal at Ibrox.

The Gers had a bid worth £1.5million accepted last week [KoraMaroc, 16 June] and have now closed a deal for the 21-year-old forward to become part of Philippe Clement’s squad for the 2024/25 season.

Rangers get their transfer business done quickly

Clement wanted changes at Ibrox this summer, and he is getting them done very quickly with the help of the board and Nils Koppen.

Jefte, Oscar Cortes, Clinton Nsiala and Connor Barron have already been officially announced by the club as new arrivals following five departures at the end of their contracts, but Igamane comes in and addresses a problem position.

Cyriel Dessers was the top scorer with 22 goals last season but struggled to win over large sections of the crowd, while Danilo missed most of the campaign through injury.

But with Sam Lammers set to leave permanently [VI, 1 June] and Fabio Silva and Kemar Roofe already gone, another striker is needed and Igamane can fill the void by playing across the front line too.

It’s a solid signing and further proof that the club have clear intentions on what the future holds for the squad and how they want things to look before the 2024/25 season starts.
