Nottingham Forest now in race to sign Rangers attacker – report

Manchester United, Nottingham Forest, Leeds United and Wolves are among a host of clubs keen on signing Rangers attacker Archie Stevens this summer, according to Football Transfers.

The news outlet reported on 20 June that Forest have liked the 18-year-old since January while United registered an interest after the right winger featured against them back in September 2023.

While Stevens is a regular for the B Team, he has already made his senior debut as a 16-year-old.

Rangers face tough battle to keep Archie Stevens at Ibrox

Stevens’ early debut at 16 for the senior team demonstrates his potential, making him an attractive prospect for the aforementioned clubs.

Rangers can attempt to convince Stevens to stay by emphasising the club’s rich history, passionate fanbase and a clear pathway to the first team.

They can highlight the success stories of other young talents who have progressed through the ranks at Ibrox.

However, the financial lure and the opportunity to play in the Premier League may be too tempting for Stevens to resist.

Gers must also consider the financial aspect, as these clubs can offer substantial transfer fees and wages.

If the likes of United or Forest, who have paid big money for players recently amplify their interest, the Ibrox outfit may be presented a chance to cash in on the teenager and hike his valuation and spark a bidding war.
