Rangers reach Connor Barron agreement with official announcement close

Rangers have won the race for Connor Barron’s signature, according to Chris Jack.

Writing via the Rangers Review (18 June), Jack reports that the Gers have seen off competition from Italy and England to secure the services of the Scotland Under-21 international.

Barron looks likely to become the fourth signing of the summer at Ibrox on a Bosman switch.

Rangers are working to get a deal across the line before pre-season training begins on Monday (24 June).

Rangers look likely to complete the signing of Connor Barron

It has been a busy summer so far for the Gers as Philippe Clement looks to rebuild his squad ahead of next season.

And signing Barron ahead of clubs in England and Italy will be a big boost for the Belgian, especially if Barron is through the doors in time for pre-season training.

After their disappointing end to the 2023/24 campaign, it was clear that reinforcements would be needed if the Gers were to challenge Celtic next season.

Barron has been a target for Clement, and the Rangers boss will be delighted that the club are set to bring him in.

Jefte, Oscar Cortes and Clinton Nsiala have all already put pen to paper at Ibrox, and it looks as if Barron will become the fourth man to do so.

Supporters at Ibrox will hope that this isn’t the end of the club’s summer transfer business, and it certainly doesn’t seem as if it will be.
