West Ham keen on signing Celtic star this summer

West Ham are keen on signing Celtic star Cameron Carter-Vickers this summer as they want to bolster their defensive options, according to HITC.

The news outlet reported on 17 June that Brendan Rodgers is a fan of the United States defender and wants to keep him at Parkhead.

Despite signing a new five-and-a-half-year deal in January, the 26-year-old is on the list of potential targets for the Hammers this summer.

Cameron Carter-Vickers will be a stellar signing for West Ham

Carter-Vickers could significantly bolster the Hammers’ defence with his experience and skill set.

As a strong and versatile defender, he could provide much-needed depth and competition for the starting positions.

His leadership qualities, honed during his time at Celtic, would be invaluable in organising the backline and maintaining defensive solidity.

Moreover, Carter-Vickers’ ability to read the game and make crucial interceptions could help West Ham in their quest to solidify their position in the Premier League.

His aerial prowess would also be a significant asset in both defensive and offensive set pieces.

Additionally, his familiarity with the English game, having played for Tottenham earlier in his career, would help him adapt quickly to the demands of the Premier League.
