West Ham want Celtic Star

West Ham United are reportedly ready to splash the cash and chase Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley, according to The Scottish Sun.

O’Riley’s impressive performances were instrumental in Celtic retaining their Scottish Premiership title this season. His attacking contributions, reflected in 19 goals and 18 assists across all competitions, haven’t gone unnoticed, with several Premier League clubs circling. This season’s output is a significant leap from his previous campaign, where he only managed to find the net after January.

With rumours surrounding Lucas Paqueta’s future at West Ham, O’Riley emerges as a potential replacement. While O’Riley offers a different skillset compared to Paqueta, his attacking prowess could significantly bolster the Hammers’ midfield.

West Ham aren’t the only club vying for O’Riley’s signature. Both Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton are also reportedly interested in acquiring the 23-year-old midfielder.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has showered O’Riley with praise, commending his consistency and work ethic. Rodgers attributes O’Riley’s remarkable improvement to his dedication and focus during training sessions.

West Ham faces competition for Matt O’Riley, but his impressive season and potential to replace Lucas Paqueta make him a highly attractive target. The upcoming summer transfer window will determine if the Hammers are successful in their pursuit.
