Abdallah Sima breaks Rangers injury silence as he drops coded clue over return timeline

With a hamstring injury, the winger hobbled out during the Scottish Cup match against Hearts after just 16 minutes.

Sickened For the first time since hobbling off during Rangers’ victory over Hearts in the Scottish Cup semifinal, Abdallah Sima has spoken.

The 22-year-old Brighton loanee is expected to miss more time on the sidelines after limping out at Hampden after 16 minutes and being replaced by Ross McCausland. The player only recently returned from injury, having had a hamstring injury in January when playing for Senegal at the AFCON. Following the 2-0 triumph over the Jambos, Philippe Clement announced that Sima had to be substituted out because of yet another hamstring strain.

“We’re going to see and make an assessment tomorrow,” Clement stated. He experienced some hamstring discomfort; hopefully, it won’t be too severe. Abdallah has been quite useful during the time he was fit and was returning, so we are hoping to have him in the coming weeks. Thus, we shall see.”

Some fans fear that the wide man’s season may be finished while they wait for an evaluation. Sima, meanwhile, seems more upbeat about his prospects of returning to action quickly.

Sima is focused on making another appearance in the national stadium, as Rangers prepare to play Celtic on May 25. He captioned an Instagram photo of the full-time outcome against Hearts with the words “On to the final.”

Sima’s goal of running out for the Light Blues on a thrilling derby day to end the season is evident. It’s still unclear, though, if he will prevail in his fitness competition.
