Cost £0, now worth more than Souttar: Rangers hit the jackpot on “powerful” dynamo – opinion

A few players on the Rangers could turn a huge profit for them in the future.

The defence of Glasgow Rangers has been questionable in recent games; they gave up three goals to Celtic and Ross County before keeping a clean sheet in the match against Dundee.

John Souttar is the only player who truly received a pass grade; he has shown greatness since establishing himself as a regular starter.

When the defender’s Hearts contract expired in 2022, he joined on a free transfer. Even though Souttar’s progress was hindered by an ankle injury during his difficult initial year, he has reacted outstandingly this season.

The Scot has become an even more important player under Philippe Clement, as seen by his fourth-place finish in the Premiership rankings for accurate passes made to teammates (59.3), third-placed correct long balls per game (4.3), second-placed interceptions per game (one), and third-place clearances per game (3.5).

Dujon Sterling, a new addition to the team who also joined on a free transfer, is presently valued more than Souttar.
