£40m player is ‘far more likely’ to sign for West Ham than Arsenal this summ

The Hammers still need a top-tier, all-around number nine to lead their assault, after signing and looking for several players for years.

The Hammers are expected to sign one of the most talented center-forwards in the Premier League when they return to the market this summer.

West Ham tipped to sign £40m striker

Speaking on the Premier League All Access Podcast, Alex Crook has been discussing Ivan Toney’s future, and he’s claimed that the Brentford striker is far more likely to join West Ham than Arsenal or Chelsea.

Gambling: Premier League star, Ivan Toney, gets eight-month ban

“I’m just not sure Toney’s performacnes since coming back from his betting ban have really been good enough to warrant a move that he would want. I think he’s far more likely to end up at a West Ham than he is an Arsenal or Chelsea to be honest, and they won’t pay him £250k-a-week,” Crook said.

Ivan Toney would be perfect for West Ham

Now this is a transfer rumour that West Ham fans can be excited about.

Toney is a proven Premier League goalscorer, and he suits the Hammers’ style of play to a tee.

He’s strong, he’s a nuisance, and what’s more is that he’s a fantastic finisher.

The Hammers haven’t had a proper goalscoring number nine for quite some time, and if they could add Toney to their side, they would be seriously dangerous.

At £40m, Toney won’t be cheap, but, in reality, that is a great deal for a player who hit 20 goals in the Premier League last season.

There’s a reason Toney has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal, and if West Ham can pull this deal off, it would be a serious coup.
