Kilmarnock social media team’s tremendous Liam Scales patter

The social media team at Kilmarnock gave their online presence a playful touch by making fun of a recent football gaffe to draw in followers.

To players and staff, the team asked an unusual question: “Who is the most famous person in your contacts?” Reactions were mixed, with Ed Sheeran, Sir Andy Murray, and Sir Alex Ferguson among the notable names on the list.

When a player mentioned that they were in communication with John Stones of Manchester City, the amusement reached its zenith. The social media crew took advantage of the chance to make light of David Martindale’s latest error, in which he mispronounced Celtic’s Liam Scales as John Stones.

Kilmarnock’s team delighted fans with their witty joke by using a photo of Liam Scales to capitalise on this confusion.

The social media team came up with some really funny jokes.

The genuine Liam Scales, who was absent from Celtic’s match against St Mirren over the weekend, has returned to training this week. This weekend, Celtic and Aberdeen play in the Scottish Cup semi-final.
