Rangers to land Ibrox bonus amid Celtic title fight as Premiership top six fixtures predicted

This week, the Glasgow giants, Hearts, Kilmarnock, St. Mirren, and Dundee will learn their schedule.

The post-split matches for the Scottish Premiership are being eagerly anticipated by bettors. However, with perfect parity practically unattainable at this point, how may the title match appear?

The Hoops’ remaining five games should be easy choices because Brendan Rodgers’ team still has home games against Rangers, Hearts, and Dundee. That leaves difficult travels to Kilmarnock, where they faltered in December, and St. Mirren. With 16 games completed at home so far this season, Celtic will have completed half of their 38 league games at home.

Despite having played 17 home games already, Rangers still have a second game scheduled at Ibrox against St. Mirren, Dundee, and Kilmarnock. That would have meant that they would have had to play a second game on home ground, which would have infuriated the Celtic supporters.

There will be more oddities, such if the league decides to send Philippe Clement’s team to Dens, Paisley or Rugby Park a third time in an attempt to level the playing field. Here are some hypothetical final fixtures that could appear before the supercomputer at Hampden kicks in, presented in no particular chronological order:

Celtic

played 16 of the 33 games so far at home:

Hearts versus Celtics

Rangers versus Celtic

Dundee against Celtic

Celtic vs. Kilmarnock

Celtic vs. St Mirren

The Rangers

Rangers versus St. Mirren

Rangers versus Celtic

Rangers vs. Dundee

Rangers vs. Hearts
