Bournemouth and Fulham make contact for same signing – PL duo ‘in particular’ keen on player

AFC Bournemouth and Fulham have their sights set on AC Milan’s Jan-Carlo Simić, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.

The 18-year-old, who originally played for VfB Stuttgart’s development team until being promoted to the senior team by Stefano Pioli last year, joined the Serie A team in 2022.

Both Bournemouth and Fulham have expressed interest in Simić, who has scored once in six outings for the Rossoneri this season.

The Premier League teams are keeping an eye on the center-back, “especially” the Cherries and Marco Silva’s team.

The two English teams are alleged to have conducted surveys in recent weeks to learn more about the circumstances surrounding the Serbia U19 international.

Milan has moved to attempt to extend the defender’s contract in response to interest from Bournemouth and Fulham. The Italian club has already gotten in touch with his camp to request an extension, and he has just over a year left on his deal.

Simić plans to remain at San Siro despite receiving a significantly lower wage than other young Milanese employees. As a result, TMW predicts that Milan will have little trouble reaching to a new agreement and that information on his extension may surface in the upcoming weeks.

Milan would then have to choose whether to keep him in the fold for the upcoming campaign or send him out on loan in the summer if he were to sign an extension.
