£25,000-a-week player admits he wants to sign for Rangers

Given that his present contract expires in the summer, the “unbelievable” £25,000-per-week player has acknowledged his desire to play for Rangers in the future.

News about Rangers transfers
The titans of the Scottish Premiership are still being connected to a number of players ahead of the summer in an attempt to close some significant deals.

Making Fabio Silva’s loan move to Rangers permanent seems to be one area of attention; the young Portuguese player will probably be permitted to leave Wolves at the end of the season.
If Borna Barisic leaves when his contract expires in the summer, the Gers may need to add to their left-back lineup. Gijs Smal, a star player for FV Twente, has surfaced as a potential replacement. For his current club, he has had a fantastic season, starting 19 Eredivisie games and contributing two assists.

Rangers have also long-standing interest in Hearts striker Lawrence Shankland, who may seize the opportunity to join them in the upcoming months given that he grew up supporting them.

“Unbelievable” player hopes to join Rangers

Oli-McBurnie-Sheffield-United
Oli McBurnie, a striker for Sheffield United, stated on the Stomping Ground podcast [via The Daily Record] that he would like to sign with Rangers before retiring. He raved about the team and that he has always loved them:

“Hey, this isn’t just any club. Have you visited the Old Firm before? I’ve attended a lot of Old Firms, but I’ve never played or watched a game quite like it. The majority of those who have visited them will agree.

“I’ve always wanted to play for the Rangers, and I was a huge fan growing up. It all comes down to time. By the time my career ends, I aspire to have played for the Rangers. I’m hoping to see that aspect of it. I do not if I do not. However, my goal is to be able to claim that I have played in an Old Firm at some point in my career.”

This summer, Rangers could consider signing McBurnie, who earns £25,000 a week and may be an experienced English football player with 125 Championship and 93 Premier League outings under his belt. In the latter, he has scored twelve goals, demonstrating his effectiveness in what is undoubtedly the greatest and most competitive league in the world. John Egan, a teammate of Blades, has recently showered him with appreciation, saying:

“Why break away from what’s working when we went long to him early on and he was winning every header? He’s a big man, he plays well, and he was amazing up top, you know. He celebrated as though it was his own goal even though I’m not sure if they gave it to him.”
Should Rangers accept the forward’s offer, it might be even more obvious since McBurnie is expected to be available on a free transfer. This one is worth watching because he is still only 27 and the Gers wouldn’t be bringing him in past his prime.
