Ferguson reacts to ‘Massive’ Abdallah Sima news before Celtic clash live on BBC

Derek Ferguson has stated that Rangers will benefit greatly from Abdallah Sima’s return before their Old Firm match against Celtic on April 7.

With ten minutes remaining in normal time, Sima made his injury comeback by coming on as a substitute for Cyriel Dessers, and he helped his team win 3-1 at Ibrox.
Ferguson continued to be incensed that Sima should have improved on Dessers’ lack of consistency when given opportunities, even after his goal.

He declared in real time on BBC Radio Scotland, “It’s massive” [16:56]. “With the header, you seen Dessers at his best and worst today, and then he wastes the opportunity from, like, eight yards out?

“Just pass it into the back of the net; however, Sima is faster, stronger, and aware of the location of the net’s back.” In light of next week, this is a significant lift.

Abdallah Sima gives Rangers a major boost against Celtic.

Amidst a close title fight, Sima’s return could mean the difference between winning and losing ahead of the critical Old Firm match. For Philippe Clement, his forward motion and tempo provide something that no other choice can.

With 10 goals and two assists in 20 league appearances prior to his injury, Sima has rapidly established himself as a fan favorite at Ibrox thanks to his outstanding performances since joining the team in the summer.
It had been speculated that following his injury sustained at the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year, he would not play for Rangers ever again if his recuperation carried him past the point at which his loan agreement expires. Nevertheless, his comeback will be greatly welcomed.
Since Clement disclosed that, despite his present injury problem, he had wanted to travel to Lisbon with the team ahead of the Europa League match against Benfica, the attacker’s mentality has been on full display.

The squad will benefit greatly from his comeback and the approximately 15 minutes he has accrued as a result of the additional time, as he will be fit for the team’s most significant match of the season.
