Celtic will not pursue Vitória Guimarães winger Jota Silva as a potential signing this summer.

During the January transfer window, Silva piqued the curiosity of Celtic, the Scottish champions hoping to strengthen Brendan Rodgers’ team for the final stretch and win back the trophy.

This curiosity prompted an inquiry to Vitória SC over the potential acquisition of the 24-year-old winger, who just made his debut for Portugal on the main squad and has been having an incredible season.

But Celtic eventually decided against going after Silva and instead turned their attention to Nicolas Kuhn.

Football Scotland disclosed that, contrary to prior rumors indicating Celtic’s interest in the attacker, the team had thought about making a bid for Silva but has since abandoned the idea. It seems that Celtic has moved on to other choices and priorities in the transfer market, and Silva, who is valued at approximately €15 million by Vitória SC and is drawing interest from Premier League clubs, is no longer a goal.
