Celtic earns Super Sunday top billing as title crunch doubles up

Rangers vs Celtic earns Super Sunday top billing as title crunch doubles up with Sky’s EPL blockbuster

The massive match between Celtic and Rangers will air on Sky Sports as Super Sunday before a major match at Old Trafford.

With no match scheduled for the customary 1.30 pm English Premier League time window, the exciting title match between the Glasgow rivals will have all eyes locked on Britain starting at High Noon. The action then shifts to Manchester United and Liverpool, with kickoff scheduled for 3.30 pm.

The only other EPL match on April 7 has been rescheduled for the evening, meaning that the customary doubleheader from the richest league on Earth will not take place. Chelsea will play Sheffield United, but because the city’s marathon falls on the same day, the kickoff time has been changed. Since there won’t be television coverage of the Bramall Lane match, the match between Philippe Clement and Brendan Rodgers’ team will serve as the main event before fans travel to Old Trafford.

Rangers is currently one point behind Celtic despite having played one fewer game. Both teams are eager to secure their spot straight into the redesigned Champions League, which guarantees two extra games under the new league structure. They both know that the outcome at Ibrox will have a seismic impact on the title’s destination.
