Alistair Johnston’s Summer Plans ‘Booked’

Alistair Johnston of Celtics excitedly announced on social media on Sunday that he had secured his summer travel arrangements by assisting Canada in earning a spot in the Copa America.

After defeating Trinidad and Tobago in the playoff, Johnston and Canada were able to confirm their place in the showcase event this week. An opening match against Argentina was their prize!

This summer, the Celtic right back will get the opportunity to compete against some of the world’s top players.

Prior to departing for the Copa America with Canada, AJ and his teammates have a very close title race to win in the next eight weeks in order to keep the SPFL trophy in Paradise.

Despite having played one extra game than the Rangers, the Bhoys lead the league by one point. The outcome of this title will be determined by two derbies that take place before the season ends. Johnston has demonstrated that he is always eager for these contests, and in June, he hopes to arrive in the Canadian camp victorious.

If the dates don’t conflict, Johnston might also play for Celtic in the US this summer. In July, the Bhoys will be in the United States for three preseason games.
