Five first-team Baggies selected for March 2024 international action

For international matches at the end of March, five senior Albion players have received calls up from their respective nations.

In their friendly in Dublin, Mikey Johnston, who has scored six goals since joining the team on loan from Celtic in January, is expected to play for the Republic of Ireland.

The winger’s country will play Switzerland on Tuesday, March 26 (ko 7.45pm) and Belgium on Saturday, March 23 (ko 5pm), both at the Aviva Stadium.

Semi Ajayi will depart for Africa to meet up with Nigeria, the recent AFCON runners-up.

The Super Eagles play two friendly in Morocco on Friday, March 22, against Ghana, and on Tuesday, March 26, against Mali.

Moving forward Back with the Austrian national squad is Andi Weimann.

The player, who is on loan from Bristol City, is hoping to play in their friendlies on Saturday, March 23, in Bratislava against Slovakia, and on Tuesday, March 26, in Vienna against Turkiye.

Callum Marshall is practicing with the Northern Ireland squad ahead of two friendlies.

Marshall’s nation travels to Hampden Park to play Scotland on Tuesday, March 26, after playing Romania in Bucharest on Friday, March 22.

Last but not least, Tom Fellows, an academy graduate, has made his debut in an England squad.

The winger is travelling to Poland on Friday, March 22, and to the Czech Republic on Tuesday, March 26, with the Elite League team, formerly known as the under-20s.
