Celtic Have Eye On 28-year-old With Expiring Contract

In search of a new goalkeeper, Celtic are pursuing Etienne Vaessen of RKC Waalwijk.
Celtic needs a new number one player, and Joe Hart has already stated that he will hang up his boots at the end of the current campaign.

The 28-year-old custodian in the Dutch top division has caught Celtic’s attention as a potential solution.
According to the Dutch daily the Brabrants Dagblad, the Scottish powerhouses are considering RKC goalie Vaessen.
Vaessen is a desirable offer and will not be renewing his contract with RKC in the summer.
Leaders of the Eredivisie league PSV Eindhoven are also intrigued by him, and they will be hoping to persuade Vaessen to stay in the Netherlands.

This season, the 28-year-old has made 22 appearances in the Eredivisie for RKC and has four clean sheets to his name.

Vaessen is a veteran of the RKC, having played for the Waalwijk-based team for more than 200 games, more than 100 of which came in the Eredivisie.
