The 66-year-old, who led Aberdeen from 2000 to 2004, also held extended periods as the head of Everton and Aston Villa, and currently operates a football consultancy offering advice to elite clubs, said the Belgian could stay in Glasgow for the next “two or three seasons” in an interview with Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast.

After Michael Beale was removed from the position in October 2023, Clement was named and inked a four-year contract with the team.

In the Scottish Premiership title battle, he assumed leadership with Rangers behind Celtic by seven points; the Gers presently lead their Old Firm opponents by two points.

The former Monaco manager qualified for the Europa League knockout rounds, but on Thursday, March 14, Benfica eliminated the Scottish powerhouses in the Round of 16.

Premier League teams are keeping an eye on Rangers manager Clement.
In his 32 games as Rangers’ manager thus far, he has won 25 of them.

“It’s always the problem, isn’t it? If you do well in Scotland, a Premier League or top European club will come and look at you,” Wyness said on Football Insider’s Insider Track podcast.

“I do believe that Clement will remain a little longer than usual.

Before he moves on, I think we’ll see him at the Rangers for the next two or three seasons.

“I have the impression that Clement won’t be staying for very long yet.”
