Fiji Airways Fijian 7s Prepare for Hong Kong

As they prepare for the Asian phase of the HSBC SVNS, which begins with the Hong Kong 7s tournament on April 5–7, the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s are on schedule.

During his first training session with the club at the Vodafone Arena late yesterday afternoon, coach Osea Kolinisau was pleased with the way the players responded.

Kolinisau stated, “We want to control the game’s tempo and play a high tempo game that we are known for, and that can only be achieved through fitness.”

Another area of our game that we are currently on is defense. We want to be proud of our defense because it will help us win titles.

The players will be free to compete for their respective teams in the next Tabadamu and Marist 7s events, according to the new national coach.

“I want the boys to have a great time with their teams with their own clubs, so there won’t be a Fiji Barbarians side competing in the local tournaments.”

“We might find a bolster in the Marist tournament based on our selection criteria,” Kolinisau stated. “We will be looking at that tournament.”

The ultimate national team, according to Kolinisau, will be chosen following the Maris 7s and will remain based in Suva for the duration of the HSBC SVNS series.

The Hong Kong 7s, which will be held at So Kon Po Stadium for the final event in 30 years, will feature the Fiji Airways Fijian 7s squad in group B alongside Australia, Ireland, and South Africa.
