Celtic Star a Doubt for Weekend SPFL Tie

Celtic don’t have their troubles to seek when it comes to injuries. The bhoys were without their top defender Cameron Carter-Vickers and captain Callum McGregor for the Scottish Cup quarter-final against Livingston. Despite that, Celtic managed to negotiate a 4-2 win against Livingston to progress to the semi-final.

Another man who was missing from the squad on Sunday was Luis Palma. The Honduran had picked up an injury in training on Saturday, ruling him out of the cup tie. However, it now looks like Palma will miss more game time, with RecordSport reporting the winger is a major doubt for Celtic’s SPFL tie on Saturday.

Luis Palma could be Celtic's next superstar

Brendan Rodgers men take on St Johnstone on St Patrick’s weekend hoping to keep the heat on their title rivals. If Palma doesn’t make it then it will mean Kuhn is likely to get more game time. Yang is still suspended after his questionable sending-off at Tynecastle meaning it’s either Kuhn or James Forrest who will get the nod.

Celtic’s Injury Problems

Callum McGregor is 100% out and CCV is awaiting the results of a scan. Celtic fans are clear the pairing of Scaled and Welsh in the heart of defence will be the final nail in our coffin this season if we cannot keep Carter-Vickers fit.

It does feel like the club is living on a game-to-game basis when it comes to the availability of players. This season has not been kind to our players.
