Brendan Rodgers reveals Celtic transfer plans for next season as excited boss itching to fire things up

The Liel Abada scandal, according to Brendan Rodgers, WON’T stop him from acquiring Israeli players for Celtic.

When the winger was traded to MLS team Charlotte FC last week, the head coach of the Hoops voiced his regret. After returning from an injury in December, Abada had hardly played for Rodgers’ squad. His nation was at war with Palestine two months ago, and supporters of that country frequently display their flags at Parkhead.

Abada wasn’t in the correct mental state to play for the team after that. Given the support Celtics fans have shown for Palestine, Rodgers, 22, felt pressure from fellow Israelis despite his attempts to try to mediate the problem. In the end, the management was forced to concede and let Abada to leave for America at an estimated cost of £6.5 million.

However, Rodgers is sure that if adding an Israeli player to Glasgow will help his team, he won’t be deterred by the controversy surrounding Abada at Celtic. It wouldn’t prevent him from signing an Israeli in the future, he replied in response to the question: “No, because I just want good players.” It is irrelevant to me where they are from.

“Good players are wanted here, regardless of race or religion. We are looking for players who will arrive, blend in, and grow. This is a fantastic club where you may learn how to handle pressure and expectations, as well as how to be a winner.

“A player must blend in with the culture, regardless of their nationality.”

the style that we wish to employ. However, it wouldn’t deter me in the slightest.

Following the exits of Abada and Alexandro Bernabei, who signed a loan deal with SC Internacional in Brazil, Rodgers is already making plans for the upcoming campaign. This summer, Celtics keeper Joe Hart will retire, and the fates of several key players are in doubt. And even though Rangers, the Old Firm’s fiercest foe, are vying for the championship this season, Rodgers says he’s excited to add fresh players to the team.

After former head of recruitment Mark Lawwell resigned, the manager stated, “Having now looked at this group, I’m really excited about next season.” Players who were sidelined for some time have caught my eye, and I want to grow this team.

On that front, a lot of work is being done. Is this an opportunity for me to sign it? Yes, in my opinion, we lost key players who changed the way the game looked (last summer). These guys had personalities in addition to being skilled football players. Losing that personality from the team is difficult. Despite all that has been thrown at them this season, the players have performed admirably. However, the key is to determine what it requires and how it may expand and thrive.

“Giving the guys here a chance was imperative as they had just finished a season in which they won a treble.” However, I also understand from my football experience, particularly at teams like Celtic, that there is a rotating door every three or four years.

years. You need to reenergize the team even if you’re winning. We will consider doing that in the summer.

The amount of money that Rodgers’ team received during the January transfer window didn’t satisfy him.

However, this hasn’t lessened his ambition to make a lasting impression during his second spell as manager at Celtic. Rodgers declared upon his arrival back at the team that he intended to stay at Parkhead for the entire duration of his three-year contract. Furthermore, the coach claims that nothing will change on that front even if his team is not declared the winners.

“That’s my expectation, unless I’m told otherwise,” stated Rodgers. That was the only thing that made me think about returning. Despite all of the difficulties and setbacks this season has brought, I must admit that I have liked it. But, I believe that will be to our long-term advantage. We’re still in a terrific place and engaged in an exciting title chase at the moment.

One player that might be brought to the team permanently is Adam Idah, a striker for Norwich on loan who is currently Celtic’s top option over Kyogo Furuhashi.

He still has four years left on his Canaries deal, and according to Rodgers, the present loan arrangement does not include a buyout option for this summer. However, the gaffer declared, “I can’t wait to work with him.” He is driven to get better and loves the pressure this place brings. So at the conclusion of the season, we’ll evaluate it. Not everything is under our control.
