recent transfer of Liel Abada
The Israeli international made his Glasgow giants debut in the summer of 2021, and his first two seasons at Parkhead were spectacular.

In his debut season, he was voted Scotland’s Young Player of the Year as Celtic won both the league cup and the championship. In his second season, they would win the treble, and under Ange Postecoglou, Abada would still be a key player.

The player’s season has been more difficult this year, though, as injuries have limited his effectiveness on the pitch and damaged his relationship with certain followers in the wake of the Israel-Palestine conflict.
As a result, it was proposed in January that Abada may go away, since Southampton and West Brom were rumoured to be interested in signing the forward for the Championship.

Liel Abada will pay £10 million to join Charlotte FC.

However, that did not transpire, and with the window closed, both clubs would have to bid for Abada again come summertime.

However, it appears that he has made up his mind about what to do next, as Sky Sports News has disclosed that Abada has cleared a medical examination with Charlotte FC, and a decision is anticipated before the end of the week.

After passing his physical, Ligel Abada is expected to finalise his transfer from Celtic to MLS team Charlotte FC in less than 48 hours.

“A £10 million deal was reached for the Israel international to move to America. Dean Smith, the head coach of Charlotte FC, will supervise the winger, who was previously employed by Aston Villa and Leicester.”

The long-term prospects of Liel Abada

Abada is a major addition to Charlotte FC as a designated player, and the fact that the team has spent almost £10 million on him indicates that they view him as a significant investment and that they should anticipate great things from him in the years to come.

Since he is still only 22, there is still a chance that he may visit Europe in the future, and the player may decide to pursue this goal at some point.

Even though winning promotion to the Premier League is the goal for both Albion and Saints this season, it appears rather obvious that the ship has sailed for both teams in regards of signing Abada in the short term.

Plans for Southampton and West Brom in the summer

In light of that, the recruitment departments of the two clubs involved would undoubtedly compile two lists of possible new hires prior to the transfer window.

In either case, Saints’ summer will be crucial since they will either need to bolster their team if they advance or balance it if they stay in the second division.

It will be intriguing to watch how Albion’s first transfer window under new owner Shilen Patel unfolds in the meanwhile.
