£4M MAN JETS OUT TO SEAL EXIT AS CELTIC LOOK TO BRING IN ‘WORLD-CLASS’ TARGET

In an attempt to clear their schedule and free up salary space for the possible acquisition of Caoimhin Kelleher, the Scottish Premiership winners, Celtic, are looking to send Alexandro Bernabei on a loan move while he is in South America.

HITC Football is aware that Alexandro Bernabei’s departure is a positive move for a team looking to cut a few bench players as Celtic look to add the goalkeeper whose valiant play earned Jurgen Klopp the EFL Cup two weeks ago.

Even though he has been playing more frequently lately, the £4 million acquisition from Lanus is still clearly second choice at Parkhead behind fellow left-back Greg Taylor.

Today, Alexandro Bernabei might depart from Celtic.
HITC is aware that Brendan Rodgers does not have Bernabei in his long-term plans. Furthermore, as he nears a loan move, sources close to Celtic have verified that the 23-year-old has landed in South America. Brazil’s Internacional is most likely the Argentine’s destination.

The Brazilian transfer window ends on March 7th, which is tomorrow. Therefore, Internacional will need to act fast if they hope to sign the all-action wideman before the deadline passes—that is, assuming that’s where Bernabei is ultimately headed.

It will take time to determine whether Bernabei’s exit will facilitate Kelleher’s summer arrival. The number one choice of Celtic to succeed departed player Joe Hart is the Republic of Ireland international.

HITC is aware that Turkish sensation and Trabzonspor captain Ugurcan Cakir is also being considered. On the other hand, Celtic have been following Kelleher for a while.

But the gifted goalkeeper won’t come cheap, not in terms of pay but also in light of his probable transfer fee. Kelleher still has two years remaining on his Anfield deal. After his incredible performance against Chelsea at Wembley, teammate Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool called him “world-class.”

At the moment, Odsonne Edouard, a £9 million 2018 acquisition from Paris Saint-Germain, is the most expensive player to sign for Celtic.

Meanwhile, Scott Bain and Benjamin Siegrist, two of Hart’s fellow goalkeepers, are also facing unclear futures north of the border.

Bernabei should go out the door with Liel Abada in tow. An agreement to acquire the Israel international for slightly under £10 million has been reached by MLS team Charlotte FC.
