Second Celtic star Player could agree move after being told to leave

According to sources who spoke to Football Insider, Yuki Kobayashi, a defender for Celtic, may be the second senior member of the team to consent to an out-of-window transfer.

Liel Abada is joining MLS team Charlotte FC, as exclusively disclosed by Football Insider on Sunday afternoon. Celtic and the team agreed on an initial £8 million cost, with the possibility of add-ons raising the total to £10 million.

The 23-year-old Kobayashi is also considering a transfer after manager Brendan Rodgers gave him the go-ahead to look for a new team.

The 23-year-old’s transfer to the Finnish team HJK Helsinki fell through in the middle of last month, as disclosed by Football Insider on February 19. The Hoops had granted the go-ahead for the transfer.

Kobayashi even flew to the club for talks since Helsinki was keen to sign him, but the deal fell through in the end.

Yuki Kobayashi might leave Celtic through the same exit as Liel Abada.
It is thought that Kobayashi, who has had difficulty making an impact since moving to Parkhead in January of last year, is not part of the manager’s plans.

The defender has not played for the Hoops at all this season and has only ever been included in the matchday squad once, during Celtic’s 1-0 victory over Rangers in September.

He signed a five-and-a-half-year contract to join the Glasgow giants from Japanese team Vissel Kobe, although he has only played in seven games overall since then.
