Alistair Johnston’s hilarious instagram message to Hyunjun Yang after Celtic’s Dundee rout

After seeing Celtic play in the Scottish Premiership, the morning following the previous night is typically a time for somber introspection.

For the most part this season, it has been, for sure, but this morning is not that morning. We got to enjoy a convincing victory over the Celtics this morning, which serves as a reminder to our opponents that we are still in the running for the title.

Not by a long shot.

Last night’s performance brought back memories of the Ange Postecoglou era, when the strikers were lethal, the midfield was inventive, and the wingers were explosive.

And yesterday night, one of those wingers was outstanding. After emerging from Celtic obscurity, Hyunjun Yang has performed well for Brendan Rodgers in his previous two appearances.

Yang posted the following on Instagram to commemorate the victory over Dundee: “First mom at Celtic! We are grateful for our supporters, the fans!💚🍀

Yang excelled when he came on as a second-half substitute against The Steelmen, holding his spot for Dundee’s visit.

With another outstanding display on the right flank, assisted by Alistair Johnston, the South Koreans helped destroy Dundee.

Although the 21-year-old’s statement was obviously mistranslated, someone will need to ask him to clarify what he meant. Nevertheless, Alistair Johnston responded to Yang cheekily and brilliantly:

This response perfectly captures Johnston’s personality, which is obvious on and off the field, as well as the team spirit that was demonstrated at the conclusion of the previous two Celtic games.
