Brendan Rodgers reveals Celtic truth behind subbing Kyogo as he issues blunt ‘reality’ message to striker

In order to secure three crucial points in the Premiership, Celtic had to attack late.
Adam Idah was introduced to the game, according to Brendan Rodgers, solely tactically, following Celtic’s thrilling 3-1 Premiership victory over Motherwell.

After a disorganized first half riddled with mistakes, the Hoops were reeling at the interval. Blair Spittal gave the home team the lead after Theo Bair’s goal was flagged out for offside.

Idah came on as a substitute for Kyogo and scored the equalizer with a superb header. Even though they were running late, their performance levels increased and they managed to cross the finish line. In Motherwell, Luis Palma added the winning goal and Idah scored in stoppage time.
The goal brings them within two points of Rangers, whilst a draw would have left them four points behind. Before visiting Hearts the next weekend, Celtic will play at home against Dundee. It was a brave move to substitute Kyogo, and Rodgers has stated that it had nothing to do with his injury.

“It was tactical,” he declared. There was a tap on his shoulder, but there was no response. That’s the way things really are. Kyogo’s advantages are lagging behind.

“Sprinting through space. I thought you required something for this game, and Adam can provide it. Additionally, the squad needs a reference, and the big guy really set the game up for us once he entered the fray.”He scored two outstanding goals. The header on the first one is fantastic. Then the second comes to him. The guys who entered the game had a great effect. Yang provided us with width and opened up areas for passes within. Palma wins the game. I thought they were excellent in the second half.”
According to Rodgers, the first half moved a little slowly. Though there were a few anxious moments involving the ball, Rodgers is thrilled with the second half.

“It was not so good first half,” he continued. In our game, passes were too lengthy and there wasn’t enough connection. Then it was disheartening to give up after a throw-in.

“So proud of the group” In order to play our game, we reiterated at halftime. There was a hint of nervousness in our passing that I couldn’t quite place.

“It only required a few positional adjustments and thinking reinforcement. The football then picks up speed in the second half as we score an early goal. In my opinion, we played a fantastic second half.
