Confirmed: Former Ibrox talent finds new club after Rangers release

Josh McPake, a former Rangers player, was released from Ibrox last summer and has now officially joined Stirling Albion.
On September 1st, the Gers announced that academy graduate McPake’s contract had been mutually terminated.
The 22-year-old has finally signed with Scottish League One team Stirling, after spending more than five months without a club.
Albion verified the news on Friday, February 23, via their official Twitter feed.

Josh McPake’s Rangers release is not the end for him

At Ibrox, a lot was anticipated of McPake, but things did not turn out as planned.
In July 2019, the youthful player received his senior bow after making an impression during a friendly match against St. Joseph’s.

Nevertheless, McPake only played in one competitive game, which was in the Europa League, thus his departure last year was understandable.
In addition to playing for Queen’s Park, Morton, Dundee, Tranmere Rovers, and Morecombe, McPake has represented Scotland at the Under-19 level.

The young player from Coatbridge, who was on trial at Hamilton, has now discovered a club in Stirling where he can restart his career.

McPake may not have had the opportunity to show off his abilities while with the Rangers, but he can still rise through the ranks by putting in a lot of effort and working diligently.
