Regarded as one of The Valley’s most promising young talents in recent memory, Casey, 18, earned his first-team debut last month against Oxford in League One.

The prolific forward scored 31 goals in all competitions so far in the 2023–24 campaign, in addition to 42 goals for the club’s Under-18 and Under-21 teams previous season.

Casey has been regularly scouted by Brighton, Celtic, and the Belgian teams Royale Union Saint-Gilloise and Club Brugge.

The Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, and England are all eager for the teenager to swear allegiance to them internationally, and he is also in high demand on the world scene.

In June of last year (2023), he was selected for the Republic of Ireland’s Under-19 squad for a summer training camp.

Casey signed his first professional terms with Charlton last year, and his deal is good until June 2023.

The star, who was born in 2005, rose through the ranks of the south London club.

Being the home of players like Jack Hinshelwood and Evan Ferguson, Brighton has established a reputation for producing elite new talent.

After honing their trade on the south coast, players like Moises Caicedo and Alexis MacAllister made huge moves, demonstrating the Seagulls’ status as a premier destination for talent from around the globe.

After failing to retain the finest youth players in recent years, Celtic is planning their own raid on League One Charlton.
