Nine of the previous ten Scottish Premiership seasons have seen the Hoops in first place, with the 2020–21 season seeing the Gers defeat their Old Firm rivals to win the championship.

Rangers have the opportunity to defeat Celtic in the league after defeating Ross County on Wednesday, February 14. The season appears to be coming to an end.

On Saturday, February 17, English made the following statement while speaking live on BBC Scotland’s Sportsound: “I’m not going to generalise, but there is a sense of entitlement among some Celtic fans.”

“A title race is not what they want. Even though the Rangers momentarily stopped them in all the titles they have won, they have done so with great ease. Some Celtics supporters are reacting negatively to the fact that there is now a true race for the championship.

Rangers utterly destroy the championship race.
Celtic’s response can only indicate that Rangers pose a serious danger to their chances of winning the championship this year. The Gers appeared to have already relinquished the Scottish Premiership title under Michael Beale.

But since Philippe Clement took over, there has been a remarkable change, and going into the weekend’s matches, both teams have the same amount of points at the top of the league.
Rangers
Rangers supporters have every right to be excited, even though the Belgian is unlikely to be monitoring the table and is more likely to be focused on his squad and the potential impact they may make.

With neither team likely to stumble against any other opposition until the rivals square off at Ibrox in April, the league will undoubtedly come down to the next Old Firm derby.

This season, Rangers will undoubtedly be successful in some way. They could possibly have a chance to compete in the European League or win the Scottish Premiership.
