‘Just not working’: Pundit claims £12m player definitely isn’t happy at Celtic any more

Abada has not looked like the same player the fans enjoyed in his first two seasons under Ange Postecoglou.

The 22-year-old was one of the team’s creative forces under Ange, but since he suffered an injury on international duty and has been dealing with his off-field issues, pundit Gordon Dalziel believes that Abada is simply not happy at Celtic anymore.

Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou named manager of the year at PFA Scotland Awards

Dalziel said [Clyde Superscoreboard], “Abada, to me, the other night there it’s just not working for the boy. He doesn’t look happy.

“He’s had a long-term injury, of course, but I don’t think he’s ready to be in a pressure situation just now.”

Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers, admitted this weekend that Abada is struggling at Celtic. And whilst the Hoops gaffer says he’s getting support at the club, doubts have been cast over his future at the club for a number of weeks now.

Valued at over £12m by a recent football study, the tricky winger was once sought after by a string of top clubs around Europe.

Now that it seems that he is unhappy at Celtic, Abada’s value could diminish as clubs look to use his situation to their advantage and nad the £3.5m man at a knock-down price.

The Celtic fans, of course, will hope that Abada will remain at the club. He did become a favourite in the Parkhead stands especially since he has put Rangers to the sword on more than one occasion over the past two seasons.

However, if he did decide to move on, the fans would be understanding of his position but would hope that Celtic get the fee they deserve especially after Abada signed a new deal at the club last summer.
