Willie Collum ‘bottled’ Fabio Silva Rangers red card on Ibrox referee return

The Portuguese attacker might have received two yellow cards.

Fabio Silva, who may have been sent off against Ayr United this evening, was fortunate to remain on the pitch for Rangers.

Michael Stewart felt that referee Willie Collum BOTTLED the call in his first match back at Ibrox because the club had asked him to not officiate any more of their games. Scott Brown, the manager of Honest Men, was furious on the sidelines when the Portuguese player, who had previously been booked, was dismissed for a late challenge on George Stanger.

Additionally, Stewart believes Collum abdicated his duty to substitute the striker for the second yellow at Ibrox. “Scott Brown is not happy about it, you can tell he is very much not impressed with what has happened there,” Stewart stated on Viaplay.

That deserves a yellow card more than the last one. The first one seemed really harsh to me.

“Let me be upfront. That’s where Willie Collum bottled it. The first one was really severe. That was definitely a reservation.

“The referee has bottled it.”
