‘Electric’: Celtic told they have a ‘game changer’ after 21-year-old seriously impressed on international duty

After Celtic’s 1-1 stalemate with Aberdeen this past weekend, they were once again struggling domestically, but one man stood out on the international stage.Search in sidebar queryWhile Hyunjun Yang has occasionally demonstrated his abilities while wearing a Celtic jersey, overall the South Korean has had difficulty making a significant contribution to the team.

Yang appears to have made a significant impression while currently on international service with South Korea. Journalist Jason Lee tweeted the Celtic supporters during yesterday’s 2-1 Asian Cup quarterfinal victory over Australia, following Yang’s second-half substitution, which motivated his team to win in extra time.

Lee stated on X, “Yang Hyun-Jun was electric when he came on for Korea today, Celtic fans.”

“A game-changer, fearlessly taking on his opponent, and totally turning the tide in favour of Korea.”

“You have a gem on your hands if you’re patient, but he’s raw and needs time.”

Celtic is seeing promise from Hyunjun Yang.
Yang, who entered the game in the 85th minute, assisted Korea in rallying from a 1-0 deficit to win 2-1 and advance to the Asia Cup semi-finals.

Yang had 46 touches and an 83% passing accuracy in his 35-minute cameo. In addition, he had four touches in the opposition’s box and four passes into Australia’s final third.

The youthful player also had one well-executed opportunity and one on-target shot. [Fotmob]Search in sidebar query
After moving to Celtic for £2 million in the summer, Yang has been inconsistent, so maybe a little time away from the Glasgow spotlight can help him.

Yang is obviously capable of succeeding, and at just 21 years old, he still has time to grow. Unfortunately for him, Celtic is now having trouble and needs individuals to step up and have an instant impact on the team.

Additionally, Yang has been hampered by that this season. With any luck, the 21-year-old’s performances at the Asia Cup will give him more confidence, which he can then bring back to Celtic.

With Brendan Rodgers’ team now having trouble, Yang might be the one to boost the title challenge whenever he returns from his overseas assignment.
