BBC pundit can’t believe Celtic didn’t sign ‘incredible’ 24-year-old player in January

After Celtic dropped more points this season against Aberdeen at Pittodrie yesterday, attention turned to the club’s transfer window as the Hoops struggled once again this season.

Brendan Rodgers’ side, for all their domination of the first half, couldn’t find that cutting edge to convert the many chances that they created that would have put the game beyond managerless Aberdeen and secured three vital points.

And after watching Bojan Miovski score against Celtic and get one ruled off for offside, former Aberdeen hero, Willie Miller, said he can’t believe Rodgers didn’t try and sign the North Macedonian international.

Miller said [BBC], “He’s the man. Star performer. What a magnificent strike. If Celtic did have money, why didn’t they go and get him?

“Quite incredible strike from Miovski. From the halfway line almost, he finds the space, gets it onto the left foot and drills it into the bottom corner.”

Against Celtic yesterday, Miovski showed his class as he expertly curled Aberdeen’s opener past Joe Hart to help secure a 1-1 draw against Brendan Rodgers’ side.

With Celtic’s financial muscle well documented, it is a mystery why the club didn’t at least test the water considering reports suggested that Rodgers was interested in him.

It has been suggested that Celtic would have to fork out at least £4m for Miovski and many fans would have thought that was a price worth paying after watching him against the Hoops yesterday.

However, Adam Idah is now Celtic’s second-choice striker and after watching his performance against Aberdeen, his assist for Kuhn’s equaliser has shown that there is a player in there who could go on and do a job for Brendan Rodgers this season.
