Celtic Board given ‘On Your Head Be It’ warning ahead of points being dropped

We lost a game that we could have won in the first half and could ultimately prove to be disastrous.
Our prospects of defending the league crown could be fatally compromised by a 1-1 draw this afternoon at Pittodrie. We had such a great first half and ought to have won the game by halftime, but we continued to blow opportunities to capitalise on our advantages.

As the away support braved the cold at Pittodrie, the Celtic Board received a message in writing and through one or two chants concerning the fans’ perception of their tight and hesitant transfer window.

Five minutes after the restart, the inevitable came when none other than Bojan Miovski gave the Dons the lead with an excellent finish, even though our defensive play was a mess. That was Aberdeen’s first effort on goal, which pretty much says it all about our current lot in life. The home team appeared to come alive as a result, and they instinctively gained confidence and launched a full-scale onslaught on us following the goal.
The Dons did have a great opportunity to win all three points considering how unimpressive we were in the second half. Despite this, we managed to steal a point thanks to a lucky finish from new player Nicolas Kuhn, who appeared on the pitch just minutes earlier.

We’ll be cursing ourselves for losing a game we should have won, regardless of whether that ends up being a crucial point in the larger scheme of things come May. Long-term costs could be extremely high, particularly given that Wednesday’s difficult trek to Easter Road is coming up. That must now be won.
