Rangers fans £3 million scrambling after official Instagram update

Reports have suggested that Rangers have agreed a deal to sign the 20-year-old Colombian winger, who has struggled to settle in France since a £3.8m summer move to RC Lens. Now, Oscar Cortes has sent fans scrambling by uploading a picture of his dinner via Instagram in what very much appears to be a hotel room. The little jars of sauce are a dead giveaway and it’s sent Rangers fans scrambling online as they await an update on the winger’s situation.

Rangers to sign Oscar Cortes? Rangers look set to bolster their squad with the arrival of the 20-year-old winger, who can play across the front three but has generally started his career off the right. Set to provide greater competition to the likes of Scott Wright and Ross McCausland, Cortes could also potentially plug the gap left behind by Abdallah Sima’s injury. Should Rangers complete the deal – which is expected to be announced within the next 24 hours – then Oscar Cortes will be the Ibrox club’s third summer signing of the transfer window.

Rangers have already signed Fabio Silva on loan from Wolves whilst midfielder Mohamed Diomande has joined on a loan-to-buy from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland. RC Lens v Stade Rennais Ligue 1 Uber Eats Whilst Oscar Cortes’s Instagram activity is getting Rangers fans excited, the club is not expected to end their January business with the signature of the Colombian. The club have been strongly linked with a move for Brazilian left-back Jefte, whilst another number 9 is a must if the Gers are to challenge on three fronts. Whether that might be Hearts talisman Lawrence Shankland or someone else really remains to be seen. As far as outgoings are concerned, Galatasaray continue to be strongly linked with Ridvan Yilmaz whilst Jose Cifuentes has been given permission to speak with Cruzeiro. But for the time being, the Oscar Cortes deal certainly appears the closest to completion and going by his Instagram post, he’s already one step closer to Rangers.
