Rangers player out with ‘Significant’ injury, may not return again this season

Dr Rajpal Brar reports that Rangers forward Kemar Roofe is out with a serious injury that could prevent him from playing again this season.

The injury specialist argues that this is even more plausible given his prior fitness history and the obstacles he overcame during his recuperation.

In December’s 2-0 victory against St Johnstone, Roofe looked to be on the mend after playing just 16 minutes before needing to be replaced.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar spoke exclusively with Ibrox News about his circumstances. He said:

“There seems to be fear that he won’t return this season, given that he suffered another serious injury after needing to be removed off the field after just 16 minutes of play following his injury.

“That possibility increases when you take into account his past injury history and several fitness setbacks as a result of absences.

“Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to get a break in a few seasons, and his lack of match sharpness is particularly noticeable in high-pressure games.”

Due to his excellent health, the 31-year-old’s prospects of staying with the team till the conclusion of the season are extremely slim.

His Ibrox contract expires in June, and although he could remain on for more rehabilitation, there’s very little chance he’ll get a new contract.

Although he is a very gifted goal-scoring option when available, his move to Glasgow hasn’t gone as planned.
