Sunderland eyeing late transfer deal for Arsenal starlet

In interesting news, the report claims that they are eyeing a deal for Sagoe Jr as an alternative to Manchester United’s Amad Diallo.

The Black Cats have been consistently linked with the Man Utd starlet this month, with reports as recent as today suggesting a deal could still be on the cards before -off spot in the Championship.

As mentioned above, Charles Sagoe Jr is a talented young player currently on the books at Arsenal, but this was not always the case.

Indeed, the 19-year-old joined the club from Fulham in 2015, at a very young age, and has not looked back since.

To date, the winger has made just one senior appearance for the Gunners.

This came in the EFL Cup earlier this season, with the 19-year-old starting in a 1-0 away win against Brentford in the third round.

Sagoe Jr has made the matchday squad on three other occasions, once in the Champions League, once in the Europa League and once in the Premier League.
