‘Absolute clowns’ – Coventry City boss fumes after Kasey Palmer targeted by Wednesday boo boys

Following Coventry City’s FA Cup fourth round draw at Hillsborough, Mark Robins called Sheffield Wednesday supporters who jeered Kasey Palmer “absolute clowns.”

The Sky Blues took a knee soon before kickoff as a show of solidarity against racism, which caused some cheers from the crowd inside the stadium to falter. After an altercation with Owls captain Barry Bannan on the field during the game, several Wednesday fans also booed Palmer.
“Kasey plays football, has a family, and just wants to play the game and enjoy it like everyone else.” Then there are [those] idiots, who are complete clowns.

When the attacking midfielder was replaced shortly after the hour, further jeers were directed at him, which led to harsh condemnation from the City manager.
