The great Celtic captain, who assumed the top post at Somerset Park, has secured his second managerial position. Steven Whittaker joined him at the Scottish Championship club as he revealed his immediate goals after his announcement as Lee Bullen’s replacement. As a No. 1 at Fleetwood Town, he has gained valuable experience, and he wants to continue building on the momentum he has gained during his new team’s previous three games.

In what will be Brown’s first official game in charge, they defeated Arbroath last night, picking up three crucial points in the process. This weekend, they go to Hampden to play Queen’s Park. In what will be a hectic start to life in Ayrshire, he also has a little matter: in just a few weeks, he will be playing Rangers at Ibrox in the Scottish Cup.
Aiden McGeady, a well-known face, joins him. When questioned whether he would now refer to him as gaffer, he even quipped that his friend would not be calling him Broony. He said, “I think short-term we focus game to game,” in an interview with Sky Sports. For us, it is what matters most.

“We must start advancing the league and producing results. After the outcome, it is fantastic that we are five points above the bottom of the league, but we are also just four points behind fourth place.

“It’s a competitive league where teams can surge ahead for two or three games and qualify for the playoffs.” You are in a relegation struggle if you lose two or three. For ourselves, we must set lofty goals. After the previous three games, the boys ought to be in a good place right now, and we just need to build on that.”
During his tenure at Fleetwood, Brown made use of his Celtic connections, and he is willing to utilize all of them to bring in fresh talent while also keeping an eye out for the occasional favor. “Yeah, definitely,” he continued. We’re always trying to bolster the team. Everybody is searching for the same players and is in the same situation. They are looking for midfielders, attackers, and center halves. Although we will all be vying for the same players, maybe with the help of our connections and the occasional favor, we can pull it off.”

He went on, “Aiden is a good lad and a fantastic football player,” after seeing McGeady again. His career has been fantastic. He is working under Graeme Mathie and completing a technical director training for us. He has the passion and spends a lot of time one-on-one with the younger kids.”
