Ridvan Yilmaz demands emerge from Rangers after Galatasaray transfer update

The Turkish journalist shared via Bandiera Sport on X that Galatasaray had only offered half of that amount, with no progress being made on a potential move.Ridvan Yilmaz Rangers transfer memo goes unread as Galatasaray boss in confession over Ibrox man - Daily RecordIt is said that Yilmaz came to an agreement over the move, but Philippe Clement has made it clear that he is going nowhere as things stand at Ibrox.

It would be stupid of Rangers to allow Yilmaz to leave the club this summer.

The young Turkish international is finally getting a run of games at Ibrox, performing well while Borna Barisic is out injured and his contract runs down, so letting him leave would throw all of that away.

Rangers paid millions of their own money to bring him to Glasgow from Besiktas, and this is probably his first consistent string of games, something he has to be given.

The situation at left-back is not that desperate that a new one has to be brought in and he must be sold, so looking in other areas such as the final third may be more beneficial right now.

He said: “Galatasaray agreed with Rıdvan Yılmaz, but Rangers wanted €6million [£5.1million], Galatasaray’s offer is €3million.”

It looks as though Galatasaray are nowhere near the demands of Rangers then, and we can rest easy with no possibility of an exit in the coming days unless something dramatically changes.

Clement and the Rangers board must start looking at the final third immediately and forget about this nonsense at left-back, it is not doing anyone any good.

In other Rangers news, a £4.8million bid update has emerged as development occurs in Gers’ quest to seal a January signing.
