Fulham update emerges in West Ham bid to complete January deal for Celtic star players

The Hammers are one of many English teams exploring a move for the Danish international this month, and they are weighing a move before the end of the January window, according to a report by the writer via HITC on Friday, January 19.The 23-year-old is being watched by Wolves, Everton, Crystal Palace, Fulham, and Inter Milan in the Premier League. Inter Milan, Napoli, Lille, Nice, and surprise La Liga leaders Girona are also rumored to be interested in O’Riley.

David Moyes is obviously eager to expand his midfield options at the London Stadium this month, and O’Riley is one name that has been frequently connected to a move to East London in addition to a plethora of other possible choices.

But given how many teams in England and beyond are apparently keeping an eye on the Danish international right now, it seems unlikely that the Hammers will pursue their interest.

Even though the Hammers have the resources to outspend the majority of their rivals, Moyes is unlikely to spend much again so soon after, especially in light of the necessity to make additional recruits. Moyes previously paid heavily in the summer to replace Declan Rice after his move to Arsenal.

The Irons may have had interest in signing O’Riley, but they won’t likely be persuaded to engage in a bidding war in order to guarantee Celtic the best deal. It appears like a true battle is currently taking place to secure O’Riley’s signature.
