Celtic are planning to have contract talks with Rocco Vata

Vata’s contract expires in the summer, and during the time he has been playing in the Lowland League, he has witnessed teammates Ben Summer, Ben McPherson, and Mackenzie Carse leave the team to sign with Championship teams on loan.

Vata’s refusal to sign a new contract without a realistic possibility of developing and Celtic’s refusal to allow a loan transaction for a player who will become a free agency in May appear to have been a Catch-22 situation.
This season, moving to Italy has been mentioned multiple times; maybe the possibilities haven’t been as desirable as anticipated.

Given that Vata has scored ten goals in the Lowland League this season and that both Daizen Maeda and Oh Hyeon-gyu are competing in the Asian Cup, there should be an opening at Celtic during the next several weeks for a striker.
