Don Goodman predicts if Carlos Corberan will quit West Brom amid financial strife at The Hawthorns

Don Goodman acknowledged that he was “worried” about what Carlos Corberan may accomplish this season, but he is surprised by how well West Brom is performing.
Since signing a two-and-a-half-year contract to take Steve Bruce’s place at The Hawthorns in October 2022, Corberan has improved Albion’s standing.
After taking over, the Spaniard moved West Brom from 23rd to ninth place in the Championship the previous season; after 27 games in the 2023–24 season, the Baggies are now in fifth place.
That’s despite the fact that the club has been forced to function with one arm tied behind its back as a result of the ongoing, uncertain takeover scenario, which has continued for several months.

Corberan’s efforts in the West Midlands have not gone unnoticed, and should Albion fail to make the playoffs this year, a Premier League team might show interest in signing him.

“The team’s age, skill level, and athleticism frightened me a little bit, but Carlos Corberan is a brilliant tactician.

“He sets teams up solidly so that they are solid and difficult to break down—as shown by the fact that they have the second-best defense in the league—and they make it very difficult for opponents when he lays down tactics, as we saw at Huddersfield.”
