Rangers will be regretting the loss of Joey Veerman, as the top player from PSV Eindhoven is expected to join Premier League powerhouse Brighton.Rangers lament Joey Veerman miss as Premier League hustlers line up £21.5m moveWith PSV, the 23-year-old Dutch international midfielder has had incredible success since joining the Eredivisie leaders two years ago.

But maybe we would be laughing all the way to the bank if Rangers had been more aggressive in the summer of 2021, when the Heerenveen midfielder was supposedly a target for Steven Gerrard.

It turned out that Rangers would not allegedly agree to the transfer demands made by the Dutch club, and it now appears that Joey Veerman’s career is ready to advance.

At least that’s what PSV Eindhoven-affiliated journalist Rik Elfrink of the Netherlands says, having covered the team extensively.

Will Joey Veerman depart PSV this summer?
Elfrink speculated about the possibility of Joey Veerman agreeing to a new deal at PSV when appearing on the DoneDeal podcast.

However, it appears that the midfield player has greater goals in mind for this summer, as teams like Brighton and West Ham have expressed interest in him for €25 million (£21.5 million).

Elfrink stated, “Everyone is aware that Veerman intends to make a move next summer. He is among the top football players in the Eredivisie, therefore that’s okay and also a part of the stage of his career.

When evaluating him, I believe you should put him in the €20–25 million range. PSV will be able to request more than €30 million if he extends. For many clubs, that is a bridge too far, and it can get a little harder to make a trade.

His defensive numbers are another reason that makes him stand out more and more. Many English clubs find him intriguing because of this as well. I am aware that teams like Brighton and West Ham United support him greatly. Rangers’ poor transfers have cost the team

Rangers supporters think Steven Gerrard bolted at the first chance with Aston Villa because the team did not move for players like Joey Veerman.

The Ibrox team is currently playing catch up with Celtic, its Old Firm opponents, after failing miserably to build on the success of 55.

Even though we’re sure the specifics of any transaction were more intricate, if Rangers were able to complete this, it would have served as a declaration of intent for a team in need of financial support.

As things stand, the midfielder is dominating PSV Eindhoven, a team in the Champions League knockout round, and Rangers supporters are left wondering what may have been with Joey Veerman.

His growing potential in the game is demonstrated by his connections to Brighton, who have proven to be among the sport’s most cunning operators in recent years.

Joey Veerman is well-known to Rangers supporters for all the wrong reasons, even if he never signed a contract at Ibrox, following their recent Champions League matchups.
